Sony Ericsson has confirmed through twitter ( http://twitter.com/SonyEricssonUK ) this morning that the Android Operating system for Xperia X10, X10 and X10 mini mini pro will not be updated further beyond the updates of Android 2.1 Eclair. The news is expected to be a major disappointment for the early adopters of Sony Ericsson’s Android line.
Sony Ericsson has not entirely jettisoned software updates for these units. Future updates from Sony Ericsson will be for things like updating the multitouch screen, etc., but nothing for the operating system.
